Integrity is…
“Integrity, what’s that?” my daughter asked. The definition, according to her favorite source, Dictionary.com, is:
1. Adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.
2. The state of being whole, entire, or undiminished: to preserve the integrity of the empire.
Ok, so what does that mean to a kid, a future entrepreneur? It means, “Be kind, be truthful, and be the person you would want as your best friend.” As one of the many self employed individuals that make up the bulk of our economy, it means “the type of person, the type of company, that you know holds value, honor and mutual respect as three of its main ingredients for success; the true essence of your existence.
